The first week of February features a whole lot of laughter.
The chuckles begin on Thursday with the return of Ladies Night.
Amber Harper -Young begins a three night stand at Good Times by hosting Ladies Night, Thursday, Feb. 2. She was a finalist in B.C’s Funniest female competition in 2014. The Comics Lounge-Melbourne Australia, The Del Close Marathon NYC (Improv), Yuk Yuk’s comedy clubs - Toronto/Ottawa/Vancouver and various other comedy clubs and touring shows across Canada. Tickets for ladies Night are $14. 95. The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets a to here Friday and Saturday shows are also $14.95.
The Snowed In Comedy Tour returns to the Yates Theatre, Friday, Feb. 3 with Erica Sigurdson, Pete Zedlacher, Dan Quinn and Paul Myrehaug. Tickets are $33.25 to $55.
And Impromptu’s Drunk Improv returns to Didi’s Playhaus on Saturday at 7 p.m.. The Late Night Loving’ Edition begins at 9 p.m. Admission is pay what you can.
The rest of the week just rocks beginning with Chinook High School Rocks at the Owl Acoustic Lounge at 5 p.m. and the Owl’s weekly open mic beginning around 9 p.m.
Celtic Routes bring a kitchen party to Theoretically Brewing, as they host the Celtic Jam, Thursday, Feb. 2.
Things get loud at the Owl Acoustic lounge on Friday, Feb. 3 as progressive rock/ emo band Alec Arms hit the stage with Rainbow patrol. Admission is by donation.
Things also get loud at the Slice Friday, Feb. 3 with Saskatoon sludgy nose rock band Man Meat, B.C alternative rock/ sludge rock band Rad Dog and Lethbridge’s Chernoff. Admission is $10 for the show, which begins at 9 p.m. Help rock in the Dark Wrangler’s birthday on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Slice.
The Chevelles bring the hits to their usual haunt at the Place, Friday, Feb. 3. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
If you are in the mood for the blues, Paul Kype and Steve Keenan play an acoustic show at Honker’s Pub, Friday, Feb. 3.
Border Bound plays a live music show at Honker‘s Pub on Saturday. Feb. 4 beginning at 8 p.m.
Just out of town, Calgary rockabilly band Peter and the Wolves play KCs Pub, Friday, Jan, 3 at 8 p.m.
Trevor Christensen and El Mule with special guests Brad Brouwer and Megan Brown play the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Saturday, Feb. 4.
Taber based country band Suzanne Scott and the Dusty Roads band return to Casino Lethbridge, Feb. 3 and 4. The music begins at 8 p.m.
It is a great week for classical music, with two big concerts coming up.
Broadway memories featuring Vox musica and The Little Lethbridge Opera Company happens at Southminster United Church, Saturday, Feb. 4. Tickets are $25.
The Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra features IV : Centennial Organ Concerto at Southminster United Church, Monday, Feb. 6. They will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Casavant Organ by performing CPE Bach’s Concerto for Keyboard (Organ) in G major, J.S Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and Saint Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 in C Minor.

U of L born Jazz band Midnight Channel begin a regular Saturday gig at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden Bunka Centre at 7 p.m.
