Local country band Trevor Christensen and El Mule hit the Slice stage, Saturday, March 11.

Like their show at the Owl just before I left on vacation, Christensen was backed by a couple of Lethbridge’s most talented musicians including Megan Brown on fiddle and drummer Brad Brouwer, bassist Paul Holden plus Noeline Hofman adding background vocals.

Megan Brown got to sing lead on a song near the end of the set.

Christensen lead the way on some ’90s  country hits like Blue Rodeo’s “Head Over Heels” and as a surprise, a cover of Dave Alvin’s “Fourth of July.”

They ended their set with a solid cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Hard Living.”
